A Handmade Object for the Everyday Table

The Ceramic Salt Cellar is part of Úrsula Cerâmica's Hourglass Collection, a line designed around the idea that functional objects deserve the same care and intention as decorative ones. Oval in form, refined in finish, and entirely handmade in Portugal, this salt cellar brings a sense of calm and permanence to the kitchen counter or dining table.

Each piece is individually thrown and finished by hand, which means the glaze, texture, and proportions carry the natural variation of the craft. What arrives at your table is not a replica, it is an original.

Materials & Dimensions

The body is made from high-fired ceramic, shaped and glazed in Portugal. It measures Ø 15 cm × H 16.5 cm, a generous size that sits confidently on a surface without taking over it. The accompanying spoon is crafted from natural wood, chosen to complement the organic quality of the ceramic.

The ceramic is dishwasher safe. The wooden spoon is best cared for with a quick hand wash and air dry, preserving the wood's natural finish over time.

  • Handmade in Portugal: every piece is one of a kind.
  • Durable ceramic built for daily use, not display only.
  • Natural wood spoon included, ready to use.
  • Dishwasher safe ceramic for effortless maintenance.
  • Timeless oval form that ages well on any table.

More Than a Salt Cellar

Designed as a salt cellar, its generous oval form and open shape make it naturally suited to other everyday uses on the kitchen counter or dining table:

  • Flaky sea salt or coarse salt, within reach while cooking
  • Sugar cubes or loose sugar beside the coffee station
  • Coffee capsules, neatly contained and easy to grab
  • Spices or dried herbs used frequently in daily cooking
  • Small condiments or accompaniments on the table during meals

It also works as a considered gift, for a housewarming, a wedding, or someone who values objects made with intention and built to last.
