Make Your Own Ceramic Pumpkin: A Halloween Workshop in Lisbon

Halloween is still a month away, but if you want a handmade ceramic pumpkin ready to light up your home on October 31st, now is the time to make it.

At Úrsula Cerâmica, we’re celebrating the beginning of autumn with a special Halloween ceramic workshop in Lisbon, where you’ll create your very own ceramic pumpkin from scratch.

A pumpkin that lasts beyond Halloween

Forget the plastic decorations that come out once a year and then disappear back into a cupboard.

In this workshop, you’ll make a ceramic pumpkin that can become part of your autumn decoration year after year. Once your piece has been shaped, it will be dried, fired and finished in our studio, ready for you to collect and enjoy in time for Halloween.

And because ceramics take time, we’re starting early.

What to expect at the workshop

You don’t need any previous experience with ceramics. We’ll guide you through the process step by step, so you can focus on making something with your own hands and enjoying the experience.

You’ll learn the basics of hand-building and create your own pumpkin, with the freedom to give it your own shape and personality.

Whether you’re looking for a creative afternoon with friends, a different date idea in Lisbon, or simply an excuse to get your hands dirty with clay, this workshop is a fun way to welcome autumn.

When is the Halloween ceramic workshop?

There are two sessions available:

25 September: 4–6pm
29 September: 6–8pm

The workshops take place at Úrsula Cerâmica Studio in Lisbon and spots are limited.

Your pumpkin will then need time to dry and go through the ceramic firing process before it is ready to collect.
